JUSTLIVING FARM - EDUCATION / Workshops / Retreats / Field Trips

We do things a little differently. Animal, plant, water, and soil care is done in a context of questioning, wondering, and considering what may be the best way for humans to live in relationship with the land. A little different, maybe, however, we are finding everyone has a concern for the environment they live in. Here at the JustLiving Farm our work is to work with individuals and groups who want to explore their world a little deeper. We help people to begin a conversation about where their food comes from—how they interact in the process of growing, harvesting, and transporting. We also find many people have a spiritual, traditional, historical tie to the land, and we help begin a conversation of what a love for the land means in our modern context. We are here to work with teachers and classrooms from pre-school to graduate school, non-profit and for profits businesses, and all faith groups who are in the process of reentering or enhancing their conversation concerning the land.

Working Group Retreats

These are five days of discussion, meditation, reflection and work. We will discuss issues such as where our food comes from and its production. This coupled with farm work allows participants to return home with new thoughts leading to new discussion with friends and family.

Field Days and Workshops

We offer one and two day experiences using the land as the jumping off point to propose and explore questions of food, ecology, landscape theology, and interdependence. We can tune workshops to best meet your group needs.
